FROS - FIRST RESPONDER ON SCENE TRAINING COURSE

We are delighted to announce that Quay Medical has been approved to deliver the new FROS - First Responder on Scene Course.

The purpose of the FAQ Level 3 Award for First Responders on Scene: Emergency First Responder is to provide learners with the skills, knowledge and understanding required to provide the appropriate care prior to the arrival of an ambulance. This nationally recognised qualification has been adopted by the UK NHS Ambulance Services nationwide and is valid for 3 years.

This course is available in blended and 100% classroom formats, providing flexibility for students. The qualification covers: • the knowledge and skills relating to scene safety and patient assessment • life-threatening emergencies, illnesses, medical conditions and injuries. The qualification is aimed at individuals who work or intend to provide immediate emergency care and is Category E (Advanced Provider) on The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh Faculty of Pre-Hospital Care Pre-Hospital Emergency Medicine (PHEM) Skills Framework

The assessment principles have been produced by our awarding body Future Quals (Awards and Qualifications) Ltd in cooperation with UK Ambulance Trusts. These principles relate to the following first responder on the scene qualifications: • FAQ Level 3 Award for First Responders on Scene: Emergency First Responder • FAQ Level 3 Award for First Responders on Scene: Ambulance Service Community Responder • FAQ Level 3 Award for First Responders on Scene: Ambulance Service Co-Responder

There are two delivery options for delegates wishing to take this qualification:

- 5 day classroom based course with written and practical assessments

- 4 day on-line/classroom blended course where the delegate can commence the on-line element immediately with over 11 hours of comprehensive videos and on-line assessments followed by 4 days practical consolidation.


You can commence this qualification immediately by engaging in our on-line learning package consisting of over 11 hours of modular videos that are clear, concise and can form a part of the 'blended learning' option.
