First Responder on Scene FROS
®
The purpose of the FAQ Level 3 Award for First Responders on Scene FROS®, is to provide learners with the skills, knowledge and understanding required to provide the appropriate care prior to the arrival of an ambulance. This nationally recognised qualification has been created with, and adopted by the UK NHS Ambulance Services and is valid for 3 years.
This course is available in 100% classroom or 2 part blended formats, providing flexibility for students.
The qualification covers:
• the knowledge and skills relating to scene safety and patient assessment
• life-threatening emergencies, illnesses, medical conditions and injuries.
The qualification is aimed at individuals who work or intend to provide immediate emergency care and is Category C on the FPHC PHEM Skills Framework: Nationally certificated pre-hospital responder (use of airway adjuncts & oxygen) on The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh Faculty of Pre-Hospital Care Pre-Hospital Emergency Medicine (PHEM) Skills Framework
The assessment principles have been produced by our awarding body Future Quals (Awards and Qualifications) Ltd in
cooperation with UK Ambulance NHS Trusts.
